The upgraded ‘Doomsday Clock’ is scheduled to become public on January 20, 2022. Based on existential threats, including the use of nuclear weapons, it has been set at 100 seconds for the last two years. Will it change? Who sets the clock? 100 divided by 60 = 1.666 minutes, computed by the scientists and wise men and women of the world.
According to the Dictionary, the word ‘doom’ refers to ‘the Last Judgment’; to pronounce judgment against, to condemn. ‘Doomsday’, the Day of the Last Judgment [OE domesdæg Judgment Day]. From the Hebrew, #1777 dan to judge, to condemn, to punish.
The Apostle Peter spoke of Doomsday:
“That you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior. Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, saying, ‘Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the Creation.’
For this they are willingly ignorant of, that by the Word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that was then, being overflowed with water, perished. But the heavens and the earth, which are now, are by the same Word kept in store, reserved unto fire against the Day of Judgment and perdition/destruction of ungodly men.
But, beloved, do not be ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (to rethink, change the way you think).
But the Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought we to be in all holy conversation and godliness, looking for and hasting unto the coming of the Day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for a New Heaven and a New Earth, wherein righteousness dwells.”
2 Peter 3:1-13
Barnabas wrote of that Day
Barnabas was a traveling companion to the Apostle Paul.
“He said, ‘If your children shall keep My Sabbath, then will I put My mercy upon them.’ (Exo 20:6) And even in the beginning of the Creation He makes mention of the Sabbath. ‘And God made in six days the works of His hands; and He finished them on the seventh day, and He rested the seventh day, and sanctified it.’’ (Gen 2:1-3)
Consider, my children, what that signifies, ‘He finished them in six days’. The meaning of it is this: That in six thousand years the LORD God will bring all things to an end. For with Him one day is as a thousand years; as Himself testifies, saying, ‘Behold this day shall be as a thousand years.’ Therefore, children, in six days, that is, in six thousand years, shall all things be accomplished/fulfilled.
What is that He said, ‘He rested the seventh day’: He means this; that when His Son shall come, and abolish/destroy the season/time of the Wicked One, and judge the ungodly; and shall change the Sun and the Moon, and the Stars; then he shall gloriously rest in that seventh day.”
The Epistle of Barnabas 13:2-6
Jude also prophesied of these
Jude, the brother of Jesus, quoting from The Book of Enoch, also said:
“Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, ‘Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his saints/Holy Ones, to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him…’ (Enoch 2:1)
But, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; how that they told you there would be mockers/ scoffers in the last time, who would walk after their own ungodly lusts…”
Jude 14-18
The Lord Jesus spoke of Doomsday:
“Don’t think that I am come to destroy the Law, or the Prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For truly I say to you, Till heaven and earth pass, not one jot or one tittle shall in any way pass from the Law, till all is fulfilled.
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least Commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the lowest in the Kingdom of Heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.”
Jesus – Matthew 5:17-19
“Truly I say unto you, this generation shall not pass till all these things are fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
But of that day and hour no man knows, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. As the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of Adam be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of Adam be.”
Jesus – Matthew 24:34-39
In the days of Noah:
“And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
The LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart. And the LORD said, ‘I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for I am sorry that I have made them.’
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just/righteous man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
The earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said to Noah, ‘The end of all flesh is come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth. You make an ark…”
Genesis 6:5-14
Malachi also prophesied…
“For, behold, the Day comes that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yes, and all that do wickedly shall be stubble/chaff: and the Day that comes shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch…
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the Great and Dreadful/Terrible Day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the Father to the children, and the heart of the children to their Father, when I come and smite the earth with a curse.”
Malachi 4:1-6
The Day of the LORD, the Day of the Great Judgment is here! Where will you stand?
Great and Dreadful Day of the LORD
“But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy … And on My servants and on My handmaidens I will pour out in those days of My Spirit; and they shall prophesy… The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that Great and Notable Day of the LORD comes: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the Name of the LORD shall be saved/delivered.”
Peter – Acts of the Apostles 2:16-21
“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy… The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the Great and the Terrible Day of the LORD comes. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the Name of the LORD shall be delivered/saved: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord has said, and in the Remnant whom the LORD shall call.”
Joel 2:28-32
John also prophesied:
“I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away… And I John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, ‘Behold, the Tabernacle of God is with/made up of people, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
He will wipe away all tears from their eyes; there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new’. And he said to me, ‘Write: for these words are true and faithful.’”
The Revelation of Jesus Christ 21:1-5
Let him who has ears to hear, hear! It is God Almighty who has set ‘the doomsday clock’, not man. “Hasn’t God made foolish the wisdom of this world?” Listen to the words of Jesus:
Doomsday is upon them
“Take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that Day comes upon you in unawareness. For as a snare it shall come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Adam.”
Jesus Christ – Gospel of Luke 21:34-36
“Cease from man, whose breath is in his nostrils, for wherein is he to be accounted of?”
Isaiah 2:22
