In the Days of Noah
Jesus warned that the latter days at the time of the end, would be as the days of Noah (Matt 24:37). What would those days be like?
“God looked upon the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said to Noah, The end of all flesh is come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.”
Genesis 6:12-13
In the days of Noah, he alone was found to be righteous and perfect or blameless. Noah walked with God. He and those who were with him in the Ark were as a remnant and the only ones who remained alive. A similar situation exists here at the end of time. These are times of Tribulation such as the inhabitants of the earth have never seen before. The world is corrupt and filled with violence. There is no truth in it!
The Trumpet shall Sound
“Blow the Trumpet in Zion, sound an alarm in My Holy Mountain: Let all inhabitants of the land tremble, for the Day of the Lord has come.”
Joel 2:1
Jesus said he was sent to none other than the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel. He in turn sent his Apostles out to them. Paul ultimately went to Britain with this message for those at the end:
“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption.
Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”
1 Corinthians 15:50-53
The Trumpet is blown at the set time as a signal to wake up and pay attention. It gives notice of an important proclamation or happening. It gives warning to those who hear it. It tells you the time has come! And when you hear it, it requires action to be taken.
One message comes through loud and clear throughout God’s Word. Don’t let anyone deceive you, as Eve was deceived in the beginning when she was persuaded by the Serpent to disobey God. We find the Deceiver all the way through to the end in the Book of Revelation:
“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world…”
Revelation 12:9
Indeed! The whole world has been deceived.
Beware of False Prophets
“And many false prophets shall rise and shall deceive the majority.”
Matthew 24:11
Does that mean these false prophets are ministers of the Devil? Well, they won’t tell you that! But Jesus said this to the high priests who brought false witness against him and sought to kill him:
“You do the deeds of your father. Then they said to him, We have one Father, even God.
Jesus said to them, If God were your Father, you would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; I haven’t come of myself, but He has sent me…
You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning and did not abide in the truth, because there’s no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, you don’t believe me… He that is of God hears God’s Word, you therefore you don’t hear them because you’re not of God.”
John 8:41-47
“Who has stood in the counsel of the LORD and has perceived and heard His Word? Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked. The anger of the LORD shall not return until He has executed and has performed the thoughts of His heart: in the latter days you shall consider it perfectly.
I have not sent these prophets, yet they run: I have not spoken to them, yet they have prophesied. But if they had stood in My counsel and had caused My people to hear My words, then they would’ve turned them from their evil way and from the evil of their doings.”
Jeremiah 23:18-22
A Scattered Flock
“My people have been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray…”
Jeremiah 50:6
“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”
Matthew 7:15
“My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yes, My flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth and no one did search or seek after them. Therefore, you shepherds, hear the Word of the Lord:
As I live, saith the Lord God, surely because My flock became a prey, and My flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did the shepherds search for My flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and did not feed My flock;
Therefore, O you shepherds, hear the Word of the Lord: Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require My flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver My flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.
For thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I, will both search My sheep, and seek them out. As a shepherd seeks out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out My sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark Day.”
Ezekiel 34:6-12
“Jesus said to them again, Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All that have ever come before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep don’t hear them.
The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep, and flees: and the wolf catches them, and scatters the sheep. The hireling flees, because he is an hireling and doesn’t care about the sheep.
I am the Good Shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.”
John 10:7-14
Discern between the Righteous and the Wicked
“The prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in My Name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
And if you say, How shall we know the Word which the Lord has not spoken? When a prophet speaks in the Name of the Lord, if the thing is not there (in His Word), that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken, but the prophet has spoken it presumptuously: you shall not reverence him.”
Deuteronomy 18:20-22
“Then you shall return and discern between the Righteous and the wicked, between him that serves God and him that serves Him NOT!”
Malachi 3:18
