The New Testament epistle, Hebrews 10 states “For the Law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the thing…” This means that there is more than meets the eye when it comes to the Law of God and just as there is a Supreme Court needed to interpret the Laws of the land in the US, it is also necessary to have an interpreter of the Law of God to explain exactly what is being said to keep the exact interpretation.
From the beginning God spoke of the ‘Seventh Day’ after He had completed His work, He blessed and sanctified it. In Exodus 20, where Moses gives the Ten Commandments to His people, the House of Israel, he says this, “Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God: in it you shall not do any work… For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day, wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath Day, and hallowed it.”
Again in Hebrews chapter 4 it states, “For if Joshua had given them rest, then he would not have afterward spoken of another day. There remains therefore a rest, that is a keeping of the Sabbath, to the people of God.” But what can that be?
We learn from 2 Peter 3:8 “But, beloved, don’t be ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years…”
In ancient Babylon they worshiped on the first day, or Sunday, because they worshiped the Sun god. This practice has followed from Babylon, Egypt, Assyria, Persia, and Greece all the way through time to Rome. That is why the Roman Catholic Church is called the “Whore of Babylon” in the Book of Revelation (ch 17 & 18), because most of their worship practices originated in Babylon and all she does, she does for money, riches and power! But now that it is the Sabbath, the angel cries, “Babylon is fallen is fallen… the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her and the merchants of the earth become rich through her practices.” And this is the message preached to the people of God: “Come out of her, my people, that you are not partakers of her sins, and that you don’t receive of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven and God has remembered her iniquities… Alas, alas that great city Babylon/Rome, that mighty city! For in one hour is Your Judgment come… for by her sorceries have all nations been deceived.” Because Judgment Day, which is the Day of the LORD coincides with the Sabbath Day.
The time has come to throw away all your idols and false religious practices (church), stop following all the blind leaders into a ditch. Wake up!! Don’t worship the image of the ‘Beast’ (state) and don’t take his ‘mark.’ Learn what these things mean. Reverence God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come! Worship Him and Him only shall you serve. For He is a jealous God and will not tolerate your actions any longer. The time of Tribulation has begun. Keep His Sabbath and find rest or go in the ways of the world and suffer the wrath of Almighty God. Remember what He did to Sodom and Gomorrah! Remember what He did to Egypt! Remember what happened in the days of Noah!
The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether! More to be desired than gold and silver. By them are His servants warned and in keeping them there is great reward!
Well, what is the true Sabbath day then?
The short answer to your question is: Right Now!
Greetings Sara,
It is the Great Day of the LORD, Judgment Day, The Sabbath, the Time of Great Tribulation, The Last Day. Consider the 7-branched Candlestick. It represents the ‘Light of Seven Days’ or seven thousand years!
John said, “I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet… And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks: And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man/Adam…” Revelation 1:10-13
Time wise, Jesus was here in the midst of the seven candlesticks, 4,000 years after Adam. He died at the close of the fourth day. 2,000 years later, we are here at the close of the sixth day and the beginning of the Seventh/Sabbath Day.
Jesus went into the Temple at the time of the Passover and found merchants buying and selling there. He overturned their tables and told them to ‘get this stuff out of here’. The Temple priests sought to kill him for that…
“Then the Jews answered and said to him, ‘What sign do you show unto us, seeing that you do these things?’ Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up’. Then the Jews said, ‘Forty and six years was this temple in building, and will you rear it up in three days?’ But he spoke of the Temple of his body.” John 2:18-21
The Apostle Peter spoke of the Day of Judgment:
“But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same Word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the Day of Judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, don’t be ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the Day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for New Heavens and a New Earth, wherein righteousness dwells.” 2 Peter 3:7-13 (Rev 21:1-7)
When he was asked about the ‘signs of the end’, Jesus quoted from the Book of Daniel, “Pray that your flight [to understanding] is not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath Day: For then shall be Great Tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” Matthew 24:20-21
“And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which stands for the children of your people: and there shall be a Time of Tribulation, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time your people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the Firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” Daniel 12:1-3
“Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD binds up the breach of His people, and heals the stroke of their wound… 29 You shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goes with a pipe to come into the Mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel. And the LORD shall cause His glorious voice to be heard…” Isaiah 30:26-30
Now is the time to leave the ways of the world behind and return to God and seek His face and call upon His Name! Pray always to be included in that Remnant!
“And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the Great and the dreadful Day of the LORD comes. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the Name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD has said, and in the Remnant whom the LORD shall call.” Joel 2:30-32
“Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small Remnant, we would have been as Sodom, and like unto Gomorrah.” Isaiah 1:9
I could go on! Please go and read all these verses in context. And if you have any more questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Sincerely, The Firmament
