Historical

Historical information from a biblical perspective in order to better understand the present and the future.  If we don’t learn from our past we are doomed to repeat it and where there is no vision, the people perish.

Reformation or Re-Branding?

October 31st, 2017 marks the 500th anniversary of the beginning of the Protestant Reformation.  Five hundred years ago, Martin Luther published his 95-theses document challenging doctrines of the Catholic church.  The importance placed on the practice of selling indulgences, the false security it gave to those who purchased them and the true destination of the collected money offended Luther.

Martin Luther’s 95 Theses

Martin Luther’s 2nd thesis states “This word (“repent”) cannot be understood as referring to the sacrament of penance, that is, confession and satisfaction, as administered by the clergy.”  Thesis 35 states “They who teach that contrition is not necessary on the part of those who intend to buy souls out of purgatory or to buy confessional privileges, preach unchristian doctrine.”

Return to ME

God speaks in mental pictures. If you consider the relationship between a man and a woman as a similitude of the relationship between God and His people, you can understand how He feels when His woman gives her good stuff to another.  In many different places, God makes mention of Israel as His wife and He is as her husband.

In Ezekiel, chapter 23, Israel – the northern kingdom of Samaria is spoken of as Ahola and her sister Judah is as Aholibah.  First Ahola committed whoredoms with the Assyrians and she defiled herself with idols.  Hence; idolatry is equated with committing adultery against God.  When Aholibah /Judah saw this, she did more in her whoredoms than her sister.

Both of these sisters committed whoredoms in that they turned away from their husband and doted after other gods.  For this reason, their God gave them over to their lovers and their ways.  For this reason, they have been oppressed and given over to all manner of suffering.  But if they return to Him, He has promised to take them back.

They say, if a man put away his wife and she goes from him and become another man’s, shall he return unto her again? Shall not that land be greatly polluted? But you have played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to me, says the Lord.

Lift up your eyes unto the high places, and see where you have not been lain with.  In the ways you have sat for them as the Arabian in the wilderness; and you have polluted the land with your whoredoms and with your wickedness.

Halloween and the Days of the Dead

Halloween (“Holy Eve”), All Soul’s Day, All Saint’s Day and the Day of the Dead will be here shortly. But what are the roots of these special Days of the Dead? When we trace them all the way back to their origin, we find they came from ancient Egypt when the people were caused to worship and make sacrifices to their dead Pharaoh, their “Commander-in-chief”. The name translated ‘Egypt’ in the Bible is actually ‘Mitzraim’ which was one of the sons of Noah’s son, Ham. His other sons were Canaan, Cush and Phut. All these are the root of oppression, false religions upon the earth. Starting from their departure from the Ark of Noah, they all united under Nimrod, Cush’a son.

The Evolution of Halloween and the Day of the Dead – Exposing the Roots

In The Beginning … God Didn’t Have a Mother!

In the Beginning…

In the beginning, God destroyed the earth by water because of their worship practices, oppression and violence.  Soon after the flood, Nimrod – King of Babylon began to deify himself and to do the worship practices that were taking place before the flood.  When Abraham saw what was happening he said: “Woe to my father and this wicked generation, whose hearts are all inclined to vanity, who serve these idols of wood and stone which can neither eat, smell, hear nor speak, who have mouths without speech, eyes without sight, ears without hearing, hands without feeling, and legs which cannot move; like them are those that made them and that trust in them.” (Jasher 11:32)
