March was a month of fasting, raucous parades, protests and renewed violence. There was not one, but two eclipses, one on each side of the vernal equinox. Extreme weather around the globe manifested in record rain, wildfires, earthquakes and tornadoes. What do all of these events have to do with prophecy?
The following map is a summary of current events related to prophecy. Below the map you will find the event details and relevant Scriptural references. Many people have been taught God’s Word in the past tense. This is incorrect. The teachings and scenarios in the Bible and God’s Word are all prophetic, pointing to a future time, and that time is now.

False Feast Days
Saint Patrick’s Day… of Dispensations
March is the month when Catholic’s celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day, but this year it landed on a Friday during Lent! What’s the big deal? Catholics historically did not eat meat on Friday, especially not during Lent. Like many so-called ‘laws’ within the Catholic Church, these are actually just traditions of men. Breaking these traditions has become more and more common.
In the past, eating meat on Friday, any Friday, was a sin. Then in the 60’s the ‘laws’ changed and Catholics only had to abstain from meat on certain Friday’s like during Lent. This year, a majority of US diocese’s gave a dispensation from the rule allowing Catholics to eat corned beef with their cabbage on Saint Patrick’s Day. Last year it was a sin, this year you are good to go! Did God call for any of this? No. These traditions of men give a false picture of God and what He says is a sin. Open His book and find out for yourself. Read this article and this article to learn the true history of so-called ‘saint’ Patrick.
“He answered and said unto them, Well has Isaiah prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things you do. And he said unto them, Full well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your own tradition.”
Mark 7:6-9
“Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin IS the transgression of the law.”
1 John 3:4
“… Every plant, which my Heavenly Father has not planted, shall be rooted up. Let them alone: they are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. Then Peter answered and said to him, Declare unto us this parable. And Jesus said, Are you also yet without understanding? Don’t you yet understand, that whatsoever enters in at the mouth goes into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceeds evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornication, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashed hands defiles not a man.”
Matthew 15:13-20
Feast Days into Mourning
Eid of Sadness
The Muslim holiday of Ramadan, best known for long days of fasting, ends with the Eid-al-Fitr festival. This year it was held on March 30th or 31st, depending on when the first crescent of the new moon was visible. This holiday was termed the ‘Eid of Sadness’ by some in Gaza because of the ongoing war between Hamas and the State of Israel. Just like Lent for the Christians, Ramadan for the Muslims is a complete deviation from the intent of God’s call for fasting. God called for a fast from the ways of this world, and this has nothing to do with what you do or do not put in your mouth.
“Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? will you call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the Lord? Isn’t this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke?”
Isaiah 58:5-6
Mardi Gras Murders
Not so fast… there’s more to this month of fasting holidays. Lent, the Catholic holiday of fasting, started at the beginning of March on the day after the traditional Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras celebrations. In Louisiana 12 people were shot and two killed during a Mardi Gras concert. In a separate incident, also in Louisiana, five people were shot after a parade. Security for New Orleans was significantly increased due to the terrorist attack on Bourbon street earlier in the year. This holiday of extreme indulgence just prior to a 40-day fast is not called for by God!
“And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord God… I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.”
Amos 8:9-10
Protests
While many around the world were celebrating Mardi Gras or Carnival, others were out in the streets protesting. A large protest with hundreds of thousands of people took place in Turkey. The mayor of Istanbul, Imamoglu, was jailed due to alleged corruption and terror links. He is the primary challenger to the existing Prime Minister and President, Erdogan. The protestors see the accusations and detention as politically motivated. They have threatened to hold a protest every week until Imamoglu is released.
In North Macedonia, a large protest occurred in response to a nightclub fire that took the lives of 59 people. The protestors cited corruption as one of the causes of the deadly blaze. A deadly collapse of a concrete canopy in Belgrade also brought on an anti-government protest in Belgrade. The silent protest attended by over 100,000 was lit by cell phone flashlights. See a short video here.
Another anti-corruption protest took place in Serbia. Over 250,000 people directed their anger towards the current President.
Likewise, protestors in Israel marched against a new law that changes how judges are appointed. The change is seen as giving politicians control of the judicial system, at a time when their lead politician, Netanyahu, is embroiled in various legal scandals.
“And there shall be… upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring (protests).”
Luke 21:25
Wars and Rumors of Wars
Ukraine-Russian War
During March, talks of a ceasefire advanced with days-long meetings in Saudi Arabia. Russia met with the US and separately Ukraine met with the US. Before the meetings Trump announced the US would take over Ukraine’s power plants. Zelensky was quick to deny any agreement was in place saying the power plants ‘belong to the people of Ukraine.’ No ceasefire has gone into place and at the end of the month, Trump accused Zelensky of trying to back out of the rare earth deal being negotiated between Ukraine and the US. This deal is a significant aspect of the ceasefire with The US’s national Security Council spokesman stating ‘The mineral deal offers Ukraine the opportunity to form an enduring economic relationship with the United States that is the basis for long term security and peace.”
One strategy President Trump has deployed in his negotiations is withholding aid and information from Ukraine. The European Union responded by allocating a ‘massive increase to defense spending’ specifically to support Ukraine. Similarly, the UK has pledged to ‘accelerate military planning to support Ukraine’ which includes sending troops. The UK committed to continuing to supply intelligence during the US pause. Over 100 UK politicians signed an open letter asking banks, investors and pension funds to re-categorize weapons manufacturers as ‘ethical’ investments to skirt around internal anti-defense investment rules. How ethical of those politicians!
Violence in the Middle East
Israel-Hamas-Hezbollah Wars
The ceasefire between the State of Israel and Hamas ended with Israel re-starting airstrikes in Gaza. In addition, the ceasefire with Hezbollah in Lebanon appeared to end when Israel bombed Beirut. At least two rockets were fired from Lebanon into Israel. After weeks of talking about peace, the fighting has started again.
Yemen & Syria
Over 100 were injured and 31 killed from US airstrikes against Houthis in Yemen. The attacks were said to be a response for attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea. In a post on Trumps Truth social he wrote ‘To all Houthi terrorists, YOUR TIME IS UP, AND YOUR ATTACKS MUST STOP, STARTING TODAY. IF THEY DON’T, HELL WILL RAIN DOWN UPON YOU LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE!’ Attacks in retaliation for previous attacks will continue on both sides.
Fighting in Syria continues following the collapse of the previous government. In a two-day period over 1,000 were killed in the fighting between those for and against the previous government.
“Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbors, but mischief is in their hearts. Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavors: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert. Because they do not regard the works of the LORD, nor the operation of His hands, He shall destroy them, and not build them up.”
Psalm 28:3-5
“And it shall come to pass in the last days… many people shall come and say, ‘Come, and let us go up to the Mountain of the LORD, to the House of the God of Jacob and He will teach us of His ways, … and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.”
Isaiah 2:2-4
Rumors of War
South Sudan & Sudan
The UN is warning the conflict in South Sudan could escalate after their vice-president was placed under house arrest by the defense minister and chief of national security. In addition, civilians were reportedly attacked leading to the conclusion that ‘a severe unraveling of the peace process‘ was underway.
Meanwhile, in Sudan, the ongoing civil war saw the military retake the presidential palace. The Rapid Support Forces responded with drone attacks killing at least 80 people. A mass grave estimated to have over 500 bodies was discovered outside a detention center held by the RSF. At the same time, the Sudanese army has been accused of ‘indiscriminate’ aerial bombing that killed civilians. These two factions continue to kill each other and civilians.
The Trump administration recently offered assistance to the Sudanese government in the civil war, but not without strings attached. In return, the Trump administration asked Sudan to take in Palestinians displaced from Gaza. The Sudanese government rejected the proposal.
In the Dominican Republic of Congo, rebels continued to advance and captured a city prized for its tin and gold mines. Over 7,000 people have died in 2025 from the conflict
Pakistan
In Pakistan over 200 people were taken as hostages on a train. The militant group that hijacked the train supposedly took Pakistan security offices and civilians as hostages that would be released in exchange for the release of militant prisoners. Two days later when the standoff came to an end, 26 passengers and 33 militants were dead. Pakistan accused India of sponsoring the militants, adding to the existing tension between the two countries.
Violence
Sexual Abuse Violence
The Mormon Church made the headlines in March when almost 100 allegations of sexual abuse were made by victims in California. Several of the claims asserted that the help line set up by the church was used to suppress abuse reports and shield the abusers as opposed to helping the victims. So far the church has ‘downplayed’ the accusations.
In the UK, Justin Welby, the first head of the Church of England to resign, said in a recent interview that he was too overwhelmed by the number of abuse cases to take action. That’s a new one! So, if it had only been one or two cases he would have done something, but more than that and just do nothing? He resigned last year shortly after a report was published regarding the abuse of 130 boys by one priest.
“In the seventh week there will come priests; idolaters, adulterers, money lovers, arrogant, lawless, voluptuaries, pederasts…”
Testament of Levi 17:11
Extreme Weather
Ice & Storms cause Blackouts
Power outages during extreme weather plagued many in March. Over 300,000 Canadians were in the dark after an ice storm took out the power. In the US over 500,000 people were without power after a large storm system stretching from Texas & Louisiana all the way up to Wisconsin and Michigan blew through. Multiple tornadoes and large hail events caused damage across the south and Midwest.
Rain Records
A severe rainstorm in Argentina dropped one years worth of rain in just eight hours. The resulting floods killed at least 16 people and over 100 are still missing.
In Australia, Brisbane broke a 50 year record for the most rainfall in 24 hours. The remnants of Cyclone Alfred caused flooding and power outages throughout the region.
Wind-Driven Fires, Tornadoes
In South Korea, the country’s worst ever wildfires killed at least 28 and consumed thousands of buildings. Over 35,000 citizens had to evacuate to escape the blaze. Dry weather conditions and high winds made it difficult for the responders to contain the destruction.
In Japan, their largest wildfire in decades burned over 5,000 acres destroying buildings and causing the evacuation of 4,600 people.
In the US there was a major outbreak of tornadoes in the middle of the month. Over 100 tornadoes struck across 13 states over a period of two days. There were three EF4 rated tornadoes which have wind speeds over 165 mph. Over the same two days winds in Texas and Oklahoma whipped up 130 fires that burned over 170,000 acres. Forty people perished during these two days of extreme weather.
The Earth Quakes
A magnitude 7.7 earthquake shook Myanmar, a region already under duress from the ongoing civil conflict. At least 2,000 are said to be dead and estimates exceeding 10,000 have been reported. The number of injured is in the thousands with at least three hospitals completely destroyed from the shaking.
“For now disasters have come upon the whole world, and you will stay among them, for God will not deliver you because you have sinned against Him.”
2 Esdras 15:27
Look Up!
March was a month for eclipses! A lunar eclipse turned the moon into a blood-red color in the middle of the month and two weeks later the sun was partially darkened from a solar eclipse. The vernal equinox landed between these two eclipses, the time when there are equal hours of night and day. These are great signs in the Heavens!
“And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws near.”
Luke 21:25-28
Caught in Unawares
“And take heed to yourself, lest at any time your hearts are overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness1“The serpents are the leaders of the peoples and their wine is their ways.” DD 3:19, and cares of this life, and so that day comes upon you in unawareness. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. You watch therefore, and pray always, that you may be able to escape all these things that shall come to pass and to stand before the Son of Adam.”
Luke 21:34-36
