Lupercalia

Prophecy Monthly – February 2025

A whirlwind of events continued into February 2025 that can be related to God’s Prophecies. In the US, two National Prayer Breakfasts put the Trump administration in front of the religious leaders of America. Trump expressed a desire to turn the country back to religion which may sound positive, but what does God think of their idea of religion? The Roman Catholic Church was rocked by health issues with the Pope. Pope Francis was admitted into a hospital on Valentines Day, a modern holiday that originates from the pagan Lupercalia. In weather news, there was extreme rainfall, snowfall and cold temperatures. Meanwhile, there were many discussions of ceasefires, yet wars continued in the West bank, Ukraine and Russia. What do all of these events have to do with prophecy?

The following map is a summary of current events related to prophecy. Below the map you will find the event details and relevant Scriptural references. Many people have been taught God’s Word in the past tense. This is incorrect. The teachings and scenarios in the Bible and God’s Word are all prophetic, pointing to a future time, and that time is now.

Valentine’s Day

heart - Valentine's Day

Have you ever wondered what Valentine’s day is all about? Who is Valentine? Why is this considered a “holy” day? Why do people feel the need to purchase billions of dollars’ worth of gifts annually to show their love for one another?  Who is Cupid? What is the significance of the arrow? Why do we associate a naked little boy with “love”?

Origin of Valentine’s day

The practice of Valentine’s day originated in Rome with the feast of Lupercalia.  This was the fertility celebration named for Lupa, the she-wolf who suckled the founders of Rome.  In this fertility worship practice, inebriated males sacrifice a goat to Venus, wear it’s skin and go through town whipping women with a short strip of leather dipped in blood to promote fertility.

Valentine’s Day? or The god of love?

In 2017 retail spending for Valentine’s day is expected to reach $19 billion.

This is not a “holy” day; It is the Roman pagan festival of Lupercalia, a fertility celebration which eventually was “Christianized” in 496 by a pope – like many other pagan festivals.

This video exposes the origins of this practice used to prosper the merchants of the earth.

“And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of your mouth.” Exodus 23:13
